I had to cut my last post short because I was supposed to be getting ready to go out. ooops.
So, back to last week. I went to Little Sparrow and indulged in some hand made felt and some homemade cake and started my simple, but gorgeous, felt fish mobile. It is basically two pieces of felt sandwiched together with a blanket stitch and then stuffed with clean wool. so easy! I met some lovely ladies, and learnt of some new great blogs to read :)
Little Sparrow is a Steiner Inspired handwork shop and I will sign up for more of their classes I'm sure! Hurrah!
The weekend was so beautiful. Saturday was a perfect day for going to the Farmers Market, making Minestrone Soup and then lazing in the park with my girls and watching the world go by. And to do some more stitching!
I managed to finish my mobile. Quite proud of it, actually.
On Sunday, we visited a beautiful new baby girl-- and took her a new tag blanket to play with. It was so nice to see her and her Mama and Papa.

The weekend finished off by another trip to a park on Sunday night with friends and stumbling across some musicians. We played bocce, drank beer and listened to some amazing indie-folky music.
I wish everyday was the weekend :)
Hi Hannah! The mobile is so pretty - it is definitely on my list to do at the felt class :-) I replied to your email tonight, but it didn't work, so I thought I'd add it here - hope that's okay ... Thank you for your lovely comments this week. We missed Thursday night because Abby had a migraine - such a shame because the last week was such fun. I saw your beautiful fish on your blog - they turned out so lovely. What are you making this week? I haven't done anything further on my horse. I guess I'll have lots of time on my hands now :-).
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here in bed watching Coraline and working on my crochet blanket. The dreadful wooziness from the morphine they gave me at hospital has finally worn off - thank goodness.
Hopefully see you this Thursday. Julian will have to drop us off but that should be fine. Have a lovely week and Sunday. See you soon! lily
